Prosecutors to Receive Financial Supplements as Government Allocates 1.1 Billion AMD

Prosecutors to Receive Financial Supplements as Government Allocates 1.1 Billion AMD

The government, in its meeting on November 17, decided to allocate approximately 1.1 billion AMD from the reserve fund to provide monetary supplements for prosecutors.

The rationale for this decision states that the law amending the "On the Remuneration of Persons Holding State Positions and State Service Positions" was adopted by the National Assembly on March 22, 2023, and came into effect on April 1. This law stipulates that prosecutors, as individuals holding positions characterized by unique risks, complexities, and requiring specialization, are entitled to a supplement amounting to 92% of their official salary scale.

According to the calculations underlying the project, the government had allocated 1,200,000,000 AMD to the Office of the Prosecutor General from the government’s June 1, 2023, decision No. 878-N for supplemental payments for the year. However, a total of 2,313,430.9 million AMD is necessary annually, thus requiring an additional amount of 1,113,430.9 million AMD.

The proposed project aims to allocate an additional 1,113,430.9 million AMD from the government's reserve fund to the Office of the Prosecutor General for these supplements. By adopting this project, the government will ensure compliance with the requirements of Article 14, Part 4 of the law "On the Remuneration of Persons Holding State Positions and State Service Positions," which specifies that prosecutors, as individuals occupying positions with unique risks and complexities requiring specialization, are entitled to a supplement amounting to 92% of their official salary scale. Consequently, prosecutors will receive a supplement totaling 2,313,430.9 million AMD for the year.
