Hamas Suspends Negotiations for Hostage Release
Hamas has suspended negotiations regarding the release of hostages and has not provided a complete list of their identities to the Israeli authorities, as stated by Alexander Ben Tsvin, the Israeli ambassador to Russia, during a broadcast on Rossiya 24. The information was reported by TASS.
“As far as I know, there are currently no negotiations; Hamas has initiated this suspension,” the diplomat said. He noted that Israel hopes all hostages will be released at once.
“Despite all requests, Hamas has never presented even the list of those there, their condition, whether they are alive or not, whether they are injured or not. We do not know what is happening there,” the ambassador added.
Earlier, Abu Ubaida, a representative of the military wing of the Palestinian movement, the Al-Qassam Brigades, stated that Israel demanded the release of 100 women and children in mediation negotiations, while Hamas requested the release of 200 women and children detained in Israeli prisons.
