Armenian National Team Not Favorite Against Wales, Says Petrakov

The Armenian national football team is not the favorite in the match against Wales. This was stated today during a pre-match press conference by the head coach of the Armenian national team, Alexander Petrakov.

"This game will be absolutely different compared to the first one. We do not expect an 'open' game. Both teams aim to win tomorrow's match," said the coach.

Petrakov noted that he expects a committed game and a positive result from his players. "With this match, the players have an opportunity to enter history," he added.

Newcomer to the Armenian national team, Edgar Sevoyan, also spoke with reporters and acknowledged that the Welsh team is a tough opponent, but he added that the team is in a fighting spirit. "I won’t lie—there is excitement before the first home match. However, the entire team is ready for a victorious game. Our upcoming two matches are finals for us. We will fight until the last moment. We have a chance to overcome the group stage barrier and will do everything possible to achieve a positive result," he said.

It should be noted that in the penultimate round of the UEFA European Championship qualifying phase, the Armenian team will meet the Welsh national team tomorrow in Yerevan. The match is scheduled to start at 18:00 local time.
