It is with great astonishment that I learned that the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of Armenia has suspended the distribution of textbooks provided by Russia to schools under the pretext of needing to conduct an examination of educational materials. This was stated by Yuri Vorobyov, the Deputy Speaker of the Federation Council of Russia.

“It is particularly strange that our Armenian colleagues themselves have sent us a specific list of necessary textbooks. It is a pity that the first to suffer from such shortsighted political intrigues are the common boys and girls of our fraternal Armenian people. Our delegation in Bishkek has raised this issue with the Vice Speaker of the Armenian Parliament. We hope that all obstacles will be removed soon,” he said.
