If Any Other Country Did What Israel Is Doing Now, Sanctions Would Be Imposed: Jordan's Deputy Prime Minister

Jordan will refrain from implementing the "water for electricity" project with Israel, which was developed within the framework of regional cooperation to combat climate change. This was stated by Jordan's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi in an interview with Al Jazeera.

“Jordan will not sign agreements with Israel regarding the exchange of energy and water,” he said, adding, “We will do everything we think will help support the Palestinian people.”

The Deputy Prime Minister believes that Israel's actions in the Gaza Strip are war crimes and cannot be viewed as self-defense. “If any other country did what Israel is doing now, sanctions would be imposed,” he emphasized, noting, “The world must acknowledge that Israel has destroyed what has been built for decades to create a peaceful atmosphere in the Middle East and is pushing the entire region into hell,” Safadi stated.
