France's Foreign Ministry Statement on Armenia's Deposit of the Rome Statute Ratification Document
France welcomes Armenia's deposit of the document ratifying the International Criminal Court's (ICC) Rome Statute. This is stated in a statement from the French Foreign Ministry.
It is noted that with this, Armenia becomes the 124th state party to the ICC's founding statute. Recall that the National Assembly of Armenia ratified the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court on October 3, arguing that in this case, Yerevan would be able to raise the issue of Azerbaijan's aggression and war crimes against Armenia and its population before the court.
On November 14, a ceremony took place at the UN Legal Office for the deposit of the document of ratification of the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court.
