Palestinian Prime Minister Issues Call for Action
The Palestinian Prime Minister, Mohammad Shtayyeh, has called for an end to Israeli occupation and the formation of a concrete plan for the establishment of a Palestinian independent state. This was reported by Al Hadath television.
“Everyone is demanding a resolution to the Palestine-Israel conflict through the creation of two states, and we (the Palestinian authorities) are calling for a specific timeline to be set for the cessation of Israeli occupation and the establishment of a Palestinian state,” the prime minister was quoted by the channel.
Shtayyeh expressed his belief that “there is now a historic opportunity for the unity of the Palestinian people and the cessation of occupation.”
