Citizen Threatens Bank Employee with Grenade, Arrested

A 29-year-old resident of Aragatsavan village in the Aragatsotn region entered a branch of one of the Armenian banks in Ejmiatsin and demanded cash from the cashier while threatening to detonate a grenade. This information was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Armenia.

"On November 14, at 05:10 AM, a 29-year-old resident of Aragatsavan was arrested on suspicion of committing robbery and illegally possessing ammunition at a bank branch on Mashtots Street in Ejmiatsin. During the arrest, a combat grenade with a detonator was seized from him," the message states.

It is noted that due to circumstances beyond his control, the citizen did not complete the crime. The documents prepared have been sent to the investigative department of Vagharshapat.
