Police Car Crashes into Road Sign in Vayots Dzor: Injured Children Reported

Today, a traffic accident occurred in the Vayots Dzor region. According to Shamshyan.com, around 12:20 PM, the Mercedes vehicle driven by 34-year-old V. Poghosyan from Gegharkunik region veered off the right lane to the left and collided with a road sign on the Yerevan-Meghri interstate road at the 129 km mark under unknown circumstances.

It has been reported that among those hospitalized are children. "As a result of the accident, passengers, including 34-year-old A. Rubenyan, 7-year-old M. Poghosyan, 31-year-old S. Poghosyan, and 10-year-old L. Poghosyan, have been taken to the 'Yeghegnadzor' medical center with injuries," the website notes.

According to reports, the driver of the crashed vehicle works as a platoon officer in the Division of State Protection of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Armenia in Martuni.
