Prosecution Demands Seizure of Nearly Half a Billion Drams from Serzh Sargsyan

The prosecution is demanding the seizure of nearly half a billion drams from the third president of Armenia, Serzh Sargsyan. This information was disclosed by member of Sargsyan's legal team, Ruben Hakobyan, following a court session.

“During today’s court session, the prosecuting attorneys presented a motion. They filed a civil claim for the amount specified in the charges, demanding the seizure of the funds,” said the lawyer.

He noted that the defense team of Sargsyan requested a period of 14 days. “We requested this time to familiarize ourselves with the case and present substantiated objections, although we initially stated that we do not accept the claim in full,” emphasized Hakobyan.
