Has Demand for Russian Military Equipment Abroad Decreased?
Demand for Russian military equipment abroad has not decreased despite sanctions and attempts to discredit Russia, according to Dmitry Shugaev, the director of the Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation of Russia. The portfolio of arms orders has remained stable at a level of $50-55 billion in recent years.
“The export of military-purpose products has been carried out in accordance with the delivery schedule and agreements with foreign partners. Overall, despite the pressure on our partners and attempts to discredit Russia, the demand for Russian military-purpose products is not decreasing. And we are confident that this year's export tasks will be fulfilled,” he stated.
According to him, the portfolio of arms orders in Russia has remained at a consistently high level of $50-55 billion in recent years. The slight fluctuations, Shugaev noted, are associated with the dynamics of work with partners.
