Hamas Has Lost Control Over Gaza, Says Yoav Galant
Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Galant has stated that Hamas has lost control over Gaza, while Israeli forces continue to advance in the region, according to The Times of Israel.
“Hamas lacks the strength to restrain the Israel Defense Forces. We are advancing in all directions. Hamas has lost control over Gaza. The terrorists are fleeing south, while local residents are looting Hamas bases, distrustful of the government,” Galant remarked, commenting on the ongoing battles.
He also noted that the operations of Israeli forces have been conducted “according to a plan with precision and lethal force.”
Galant emphasized that the Israel Defense Forces have recently intensified operations aimed at destroying Hamas tunnels. “We act according to our missions. Time is not a concern for us. We have objectives, and we will achieve them,” Galant stated, likely responding to Israeli Foreign Minister Eli Cohen's claims that the country's actions in Gaza may shift under international legal pressure.
