Garni-Geghard: Preferred Destination for Tourists Revealed

Garni-Geghard has emerged as the preferred destination for tourists. According to data presented by the Armenian National Statistical Committee, 9,938 people visited Garni-Geghard from January to June 2023.

The second most visited destination by tourists is Khor Virap, with 7,901 visitors, followed by Lake Sevan with 7,722 visitors, and then Tatev with 6,446 visitors. During the reporting period, 5,585 tourists visited Areni and 5,045 visited Noravank.

It is important to note that the Armenian National Statistical Service has reported the number of tourists visiting Armenia by destination for the first half of 2023, based on tours organized by tour operators/travel agencies.
