Israel and Hamas Agree to Exchange 100 Palestinian Women and Adolescents for 100 Israeli Hostages

Al Arabiya has reported, citing sources, that on November 10, an agreement was reached for the exchange of 100 Palestinian women and adolescents detained by Israel for 100 Israeli hostages. This information was reported by Meduza.

Diplomatic sources from Al Arabiya stated that several exchange proposals have emerged during negotiations in recent weeks, with Qatar playing a key role as a mediator. One of the options pertained to the release of 10-15 hostages in exchange for a one or two-day ceasefire. The office of Benjamin Netanyahu insists that no ceasefire will occur until Hamas releases the hostages.

As of now, the official confirmation of the agreement concerning the exchange has not been validated.

Hamas attacked Israel on October 7, killing 1,400 people and taking more than 200 hostages. The Israeli Defense Forces began airstrikes on the Gaza Strip, and at the end of October, IDF troops entered Palestinian territories. According to Palestinian sources, over 11,000 people have died in Gaza since October 7.
