Fire in Dilijan National Park Still Not Extinguished: Details
Firefighting efforts are ongoing in the territory of the Dilijan National Park. This was reported by the Armenian Ministry of Emergency Situations. On November 9, at 07:00, 15 rescuers were dispatched to the scene to resume firefighting activities. Approximately 3 hectares of the area still contain smoldering spots.
It should be recalled that a report was received at 13:30 on November 6 at the Crisis Management Center of the Tavush Regional Rescue Department, indicating that smoke was visible from the forest adjacent to the Haghartsin Monastery complex. The fire was contained on November 6 at 17:51. The firefighting efforts also involved 8 employees from the Inspectorate for Environmental Protection and Mining, as well as 25 staff members from the Dilijan National Park.
