"Armenia Must Resume Negotiations on Peace Agreement" - Amирбеков

"The signing of a peace agreement between Azerbaijan and Armenia is possible if the latter remains committed to it and demonstrates a constructive stance in the peace process," said Elchin Amirbekov, special representative of the President of Azerbaijan.

Amirbekov stated that the positive outcome of the negotiations "will largely depend on the level of sincerity of the Armenian authorities." He added, "On one hand, they talk about the desire to complete work on the peace agreement, while on the other hand, they unleash a diplomatic war against Azerbaijan. However, I believe that in order to reach a final agreement, Armenia must show that it respects the obligations it has already undertaken and will fulfill the promises made in the past. Armenia must resume negotiations on the draft peace agreement at the highest level and cease pursuing its narrow political goals through parallel directions with the help of allies," he noted.
