VIDEO: Elderly Women Appeal to Putin and Dance Georgian Lezginka

Activists from the "Putin’s Troops" public movement, composed of elderly women, have made a video appeal to the President of Russia. They requested that Putin run in the upcoming presidential elections and performed a Georgian Lezginka dance.

It is noteworthy that new presidential elections in Russia are set to take place in 2024. In 2018, the Russian President stated that he would not seek reelection in the next elections, as it would contradict the constitution. However, in 2020, a referendum was held to amend the constitution, which has granted Putin the opportunity to run for two additional terms. He could remain in power until 2036.
