Photos: Aurora Borealis in the Sky of Georgia
Residents of Georgia have witnessed a beautiful natural phenomenon: the aurora borealis (Northern Lights). This extraordinary event was caused by a strong solar eruption on November 3.
The northern lights, or aurora borealis, are a display of lights in the upper thin layers of the Earth's atmosphere. They are typically observed in polar regions but can occasionally be seen at mid-latitudes as well. This natural phenomenon occurs rarely, mainly between September and March.
