Israeli Minister Doubts Casualty Figures from Gaza Strip

"I don't know the exact number." This is how Israel's Minister of Strategic Planning Ron Dermer responded during an interview on British Sky News, unable to specify the number of civilian casualties resulting from Israeli military operations in the Gaza Strip since the beginning of the conflict.

"I don't know the exact number... I don't know how many people have died in the Gaza Strip," he stated.

The minister mentioned that he could neither confirm nor deny the figures provided by the Palestinian Ministry of Health, which reports over 10,000 civilian deaths, but accused the agency of previously providing incorrect numbers regarding casualties among Hamas fighters and civilians.

"I can't tell you the number of people (deaths), but I can tell you that the death of every civilian in the Gaza Strip is a tragedy. These are the unintended consequences of legitimate military operations that occur in any war," he added.

Earlier, Palestinian Health Minister Mai Al-Kaila emphasized that all the data published by her ministry concerning casualties and injuries resulting from the escalation of the conflict in the Gaza Strip are accurate.

"Israel can say what it wants. These figures are real, and we have them," Al-Kaila stressed.

It is noted that the number of casualties in Gaza has reached 10,569, with over 26,000 people injured, according to the Palestinian Ministry of Health. Among the dead are 4,324 children. Another 26,475 people have been injured. In just the last 24 hours, 214 people have been reported dead. Additionally, it is reported that 2,550 people, including 1,350 children, are still missing.
