Neither Hamas nor Israel can govern Gaza in the future; a transitional phase is necessary. This was stated by U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken, according to TASS.

“First, Gaza cannot be governed by Hamas; otherwise, there will simply be a repetition of October 7, and Gaza will be used as a base for carrying out terrorist attacks. It is also clear that Israel cannot occupy Gaza,” he said.

Earlier, the U.S. State Department announced that the fate of the Gaza Strip should be determined by the Palestinians. It’s also worth noting that the Israeli Prime Minister had previously stated that he believes Israel can take responsibility for governing the Gaza Strip for some time.
