Legitimacy of President Elected During War Will Be Questionable, Says Zelensky's Representative

The legitimacy of a president elected during wartime will be questionable, stated Fyodor Venislavsky, a representative of Zelensky, in the Rada.

According to him, it is unlikely that constitutional principles regarding electoral rights can be upheld under martial law conditions, local media reports.

It is worth noting that Zelensky's presidential term expires in the spring, with elections scheduled for March 31, 2024. Earlier, Zelensky stated that now is not the time for elections in Ukraine.
