Why the NSS Detained Employees of Malatia-Sebastiya Community

The head of the communal department of the Malatia-Sebastiya administrative district, Ashot Khachatryan, has been detained by the National Security Service (NSS) from his home, while the head of the trade department, Hrayr Aramyan, and communal employee Van Harutyunyan were taken from other locations. This was reported by ArmLur.am, citing its sources.

It was noted that the three mentioned employees are acquaintances. The media outlet indicates that the reason for their detention stems from the community's incomplete execution of procurement processes, as irregularities were discovered. A tender was announced, but the allocated funds did not serve their intended purpose, with part of the money allegedly being misappropriated.

It is also reported that the detained employees of the community have been released with a signature.
