Video: Garik Galeyan Released from Custody
Garik Galeyan, the father of fallen serviceman Mkhitar Galeyan, who died in the 44-day war, was released from court today. The Yerevan General Jurisdiction Court applied a measure of restriction in the form of house arrest for a period of two months with a combined bail.
The bail amount was set at 2 million drams.
After the court session, Garik Galeyan spoke with reporters in the courtyard of the court, mentioning that the change in his measure of restriction was unexpected for him. “I was incarcerated because they were handing over Artsakh. Parents of heroes are hindering themselves: We must stand up as a nation and at least be able to save Armenia,” he concluded.
