There is a Likelihood That Artificial Intelligence Will Kill Us All: Musk
Artificial intelligence (AI) has become a potential threat to the existence of humanity. This statement was made by entrepreneur Elon Musk at the AI safety summit.
“For the first time, we have a situation where something can be much smarter than the smartest human. It's not clear to me whether we can really control such an entity,” stated Elon Musk.
Musk believes that the existence of artificial intelligence poses an “existential risk” that humanity faces. “There is a likelihood that AI will kill us all,” he asserted.
This is not the first instance where Musk has warned about the dangers of artificial intelligence. On March 30, he jokingly suggested that AI could become a new god.
Additionally, a total of 28 governments have signed the so-called Blatchley Declaration dedicated to the development of artificial intelligence at the first day of a summit organized by the British government on the safety of rapidly evolving technologies.
