VIDEO: 'You are the brazen ones' – Tensions rise during the discussion of the 2024 state budget in Parliament

During the discussion of the 2024 state budget in Parliament, Aragnaz Manukyan, a member of the "Armenia" faction, asked Human Rights Defender Anahit Manasyan about political prisoners.

She noted that the health of one of the political prisoners, the well-known Tatev, has deteriorated in prison and that he is unlawfully detained despite his health issues. Before Anahit Manasyan could respond, ruling party member Gevorg Papoyan interjected from his seat.

"Our police will continue to behave the same way with those brazen individuals who are destroying our citizens' cars. Yes, those arrogant and impudent ones should be brought down to the ground. Shame on you, you are their defender," the ruling party MP declared, addressing Manukyan.

Following these words, a heated verbal exchange took place between the ruling and opposition members. Aragnaz Manukyan responded, "You speak from the legislative podium, hysterical, a person is deteriorating, call a doctor."
