"I Was Wrong": Netanyahu Apologizes

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has apologized on social media for his statement that security services did not warn him about the potential attacks by the Palestinian Hamas movement before the escalation of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict.

During a press conference on Saturday evening, Netanyahu commented on the unexpected attack on Israel by Hamas on October 7, stating that there had been "predictability" and that it would be thoroughly investigated after the war.

Later, a statement was circulated on social media where the Prime Minister claimed that "in contrast to false allegations," he had "not been warned at any time or stage" about Hamas's military intentions.

This declaration has drawn criticism from some politicians. "I was wrong; what I said after the press conference should not have been said, and I apologize for that. I fully support all the leaders of the security forces, I back the Chief of Staff, as well as the commanders and soldiers of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) who are on the frontlines fighting for their home. Together we will win," Netanyahu stated in his message on social media.
