Armenia as a Recipient Country for Aid: Blinken

On October 31, during hearings dedicated to President Biden's request for an additional $106 billion in national security funding from the U.S. Senate Appropriations Committee, U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken identified Armenia as a recipient country for aid. This was reported by 'Voice of America.'

“This allocation will allow us to address the humanitarian urgent needs that have emerged due to autocrats and terrorists, as well as conflicts and natural disasters in Ukraine, Gaza, Sudan, Armenia, and other parts of the world. Food, water, medicine, and other necessary humanitarian assistance must reach civilians in Gaza unhindered. Civilians must be kept away from danger. This issue is further complicated as Hamas uses civilians as human shields. The need to consider humanitarian ceasefires is essential,” Secretary Blinken elaborated.
