Ryanair Ordered to Pay $2.4 Million for Flight Cancellations
The London court has ruled today that the Irish budget airline Ryanair must pay travel agencies £2 million ($2.4 million) for canceling its flights during the summer tourist season of 2021. This was reported by kommersant.ru.
It was noted that at that time, the airline massively canceled flights up to and including August, and travel agencies selling package tours along with flight tickets had to reimburse customers.
The lawsuit against the airline was filed back in October 2021. Travel agencies state that Ryanair exploited its dominant position in the low-cost air transportation market. The court found the arguments of the travel agencies to be valid.
