At the ongoing U23 World Championship in Tirana, Albania, Greco-Roman wrestler Yurik Hovhannisyan secured a victory in the consolation match, defeating the Azerbaijani wrestler Babashov by a score of 2-2. He will now compete for the bronze medal.

In the first consolation match, Samvel Sargsyan won decisively against an American opponent with a score of 10-0, but lost in his second match. Manvel Khachatryan also won his consolation match against a Ukrainian wrestler with a score of 3-2, earning his chance to fight for the bronze medal as well.
