Video: In the U.S., Law Enforcement Surrounds Home of Mass Shooting Suspect in Lewiston

The law enforcement agencies in Maine, along with the FBI, have surrounded a house where the suspect in a mass shooting in Lewiston may be located.

Footage has surfaced on social media showing officers in the vicinity using loudspeakers to urge those inside the building to open the doors. Sounds of explosions are reportedly heard from within the house. However, there has not yet been confirmation that the suspect is present there, according to ABC News.

Meanwhile, following the gunfire, there has been a surge in gun sales to the public in Maine.

It is important to note that at least 22 people have been killed and 60 injured as a result of the shooting that took place in Lewiston, Maine.

The Maine police have recently disclosed the identity of the armed individual who opened fire in Lewiston as 40-year-old Robert Card. He had been released from a psychiatric facility over the summer.

The shooting incident in Maine marks the 565th mass shooting in the United States in 2023.
