Death Toll in Gaza Exceeds 7,000

The death toll in the Gaza Strip has surpassed 7,000 due to Israeli strikes, with the number of injured reaching 18,000, reports Al-Arabiya, citing the Palestinian Ministry of Health.

Among the deceased are 2,913 children and 1,709 women, the agency detailed.

The conflict between Israel and Hamas began on October 7, when Hamas launched a surprise attack on Israeli territory, firing hundreds of rockets. In response, Israeli authorities declared war on Hamas and initiated large-scale bombardment of the Gaza Strip. Israel has reported over 1,400 fatalities.

In the near future, Israeli military forces intend to enter a new phase of military operations, commencing large-scale ground actions in the Gaza Strip.
