Toivo Klaar on the Michel-Pashinyan-Aliyev Meeting
The European Union's special representative for the South Caucasus and the crisis in Georgia, Toivo Klaar, has announced that the meeting scheduled for the end of October between EU Council President Charles Michel, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev will not take place.
Klaar attributed this decision to a lack of time. “Our goal is for the people of Nagorno-Karabakh to return to their homes. Emphasizing the importance of the Granada meeting, which Aliyev did not attend, we are now trying to organize a Pashinyan-Aliyev meeting in Brussels,” Klaar stated, adding, “Despite the slow progress, we believe the outcome will be the signing of a document.”
