16-Year-Old Iranian Girl Beaten by Police Dies
In Iran, 16-year-old Armita Geravand has died after being brutally beaten by morality police for not wearing a hijab, CNN reports.
Geravand was severely assaulted by officers in Tehran in early October and had been in a coma for nearly a month. Human rights advocates have informed media that she was under the watch of Iranian security personnel in the hospital. Even family members were not allowed to see her.
