‘These authorities say one day they have signed, another day they say they haven’t signed’: Andranik Kocharyan

The authorities of Artsakh must answer the questions that the Armenians of Artsakh are waiting for after moving to Armenia. This was stated today by Andranik Kocharyan, a deputy from the ‘Civil Contract’ party in the National Assembly of Armenia, during a conversation with reporters.

“These authorities say one day they have signed, another day they say they haven’t signed. One day they say these officials must remain in office, the others must not. And then they say heads must be broken. Well, I say to Mr. Shahramanyan, you became president with 22 votes; now it is time to save heads,” he said.

Commenting on Samvel Shahramanyan's statement that the document on the dissolution of Artsakh has no constitutional force, Andranik Kocharyan asked, “Then why did the Armenians of Artsakh leave their homes?”

“In that case, what is he doing in Armenia? He should currently be serving in Artsakh,” he said.

Andranik Kocharyan also assured that he meets with representatives from Artsakh every day to discuss security issues.

It should be noted that yesterday, on October 20, hundreds of citizens forcibly displaced from Artsakh gathered near the representation office to protest against the decision to stop the payment of salaries to employees of state institutions in Artsakh. Initially meeting the citizens outside, Artsakh President Samvel Shahramanyan later spoke with them inside.
