The World Will No Longer Rotate Around the United States: Peskov
The Kremlin supports U.S. President Joe Biden's statement that the world needs a new order; however, Moscow disagrees that this new world order can be constructed by Washington. This was reported to journalists by Dmitry Peskov, the spokesperson for the Russian President, as noted by TASS.
“We completely agree with Mr. Biden. This is a rare instance where we fully align with what he has said. Indeed, the world needs a new world order based on entirely different principles,” Peskov said.
According to the Kremlin, this new world order should be free of attempts to centralize all governance mechanisms under one state and impose its will and decisions on other countries.
“On the contrary, there should be a world order based on international law, rather than 'rules' based on mutual respect, mutual benefit, non-interference in each other's internal affairs, and so on,” Peskov added.
However, he continued, the Kremlin disagrees with Biden on another part of his statement. “Mr. Biden made another remark: 'The U.S. is capable of building such a world order.' In this regard, we disagree,” he emphasized.
