Prime Minister's Spokesperson on the Transfer of 100,000 Drams
The one-time transfer of 100,000 drams has been completed for about 95 percent of eligible individuals. On the previous day, 15,207 people received the 100,000 drams, of which 9,447 are minors and 5,760 are adults. This was stated by the Prime Minister's spokesperson Nazeli Baghdasaryan while presenting the progress of the support programs for displaced persons implemented by the Government's Humanitarian Center.
"At this point, we have reached a total of 95,200 individuals, meaning we have nearly exceeded 95 percent," she said, noting that funds will also be transferred via Haypost for certain segments.
Baghdasaryan announced that rental assistance will also be provided next week. "Let me remind you, each person will receive 40,000 drams for rental assistance and 10,000 drams for utility expenses, for both adults and minors," the Prime Minister's spokesperson said, adding that the rental funds will be allocated for the upcoming six months.
Additionally, the spokesperson reported that in families displaced from Artsakh and relocated to Armenia, 88 children have been born. "Of the children, 45 were born in Yerevan, and 43 in the regions of Armenia," she mentioned.
During the briefing at the Humanitarian Center, she noted that the number of children displaced from Artsakh and attending school in Armenia has increased by 124 in just one day, reaching a total of 15,388.
