New Changes Implemented in the Voluntary Certification Process, Minister Explains

Several changes have been initiated in the voluntary certification process. This was announced by Minister of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports Zhanna Andreasyan.

She informed that for teachers who have passed the certification and scored between 60-69 percent, an increase in their salary amounting to 200,000 drams is planned. This adjustment will also apply to teachers who participated in previous years and achieved the same results.

Teachers who were uncertified but participated in the certification for the second time and achieved scores of 50-59 percent, as well as those who recorded at least a 15 percent increase from the first to the second certification, will have the opportunity to participate in the next certification without facing issues regarding the continuation of their employment during this period.

Additionally, the changes will regulate several provisions that have been subject to ambiguous interpretations. In the near future, we will also present a new professional development package for teachers, changes to the ranking system, significant easing of documentation requirements, new training programs, and regulations that will take effect next year,” the minister wrote.
