Explosion Occurs at Open-Air Café in Victory Park: Reports of Injuries

A call was received at around 17:50 at the National Crisis Management Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Armenia, stating that an explosion had occurred at one of the open-air cafés in Victory Park, resulting in injuries. Another similar notification was also received at the operational management center of the Police of the Republic of Armenia.

According to the website, emergency medical teams in Yerevan initially provided first aid to three individuals at the scene before transporting two of them to the Yerevan Heratsi University Hospital and one to the Armenia Medical Center.

Law enforcement has cordoned off the area. Preliminary reports indicate that the explosion occurred in the kitchen and restroom area of the open-air café, causing a partial collapse of the ceiling, breaking windows, and damaging some property.

The area is not gasified, which suggests that the explosion did not originate from gas.
