VIDEO: Tension at Artsakh Representation Office; Shahramanyan Meets Protesters

The President of Artsakh, Samvel Shahramanyan, has stepped out in front of the Artsakh Representation Office to hear the grievances of forcibly displaced citizens. It should be noted that citizens who had been forcibly displaced from Artsakh, protesting in front of the Artsakh Representation Office in Armenia, managed to breach the police barrier and enter the building. They attempted to meet with Shahramanyan but were unsuccessful, prompting the president to exit the building.

"What should I tell you? It poses great dangers for the future fate of both Artsakh and Armenia. We are all in a difficult situation, extremely hard, and what is happening here is further complicating the situation. Our enemy is one; we all know it. I am responsible before all of you and your families," Shahramanyan stated.

He emphasized that the Republic of Armenia is also the homeland of everyone, and they have no right to jeopardize the security of the RA. The President of Artsakh stressed that he is ready to meet with anyone and discuss everything for which he is being blamed.

One of the protesting citizens asked Shahramanyan how he plans to address their concerns if neither the current nor previous leaders of Armenia trust him, as no one has held discussions with him. Shahramanyan countered that people do trust him.

The President asked the protesters to elect 20-30 representatives to go up to the hall inside the building and have a calm conversation, as it was difficult to hear each other outside. However, most of the protest participants disagreed with this option and decided that they needed to ask questions outside and receive answers.
