Residents Who Lost Homes in Shurnukh and Vorotan to Receive 68,000 Dram Support for Another 5 Months

Due to the transfer of control to Azerbaijan, individuals who lost residential real estate in the Armenian regions of Shurnukh and Vorotan will continue to receive the 68,000 dram support provided by the government from August to December 2023.

This decision was made during a government meeting today. The justification for the decision states that citizens who have received a one-time support of 300,000 dram within the framework of the monetary assistance program, as well as monthly support of 68,000 dram from February 2021 to July 2023, will be entitled to receive the 68,000 dram support again for the months of August to December 2023.

As of July 26, 2023, the number of beneficiaries included in the support list from the Syunik Regional Administration is 38.

It is also noted that a residential neighborhood construction project is underway in Shurnukh, a border community in Syunik Province, which involves the construction of 13 residential houses for individuals living at the addresses of residential real estate lost to Azerbaijani control in the communities of Shurnukh and Vorotan. The deadline for the construction work has been set for December 2023.
