Municipality Confirms Demolition Concerns Over Kindergarten No. 71
Recently, information surfaced on the internet regarding the potential demolition of the newly renovated Kindergarten No. 71 by the Yerevan Municipality. Activist Arthur Chakhoyan shared a video on his Facebook page, stating:
“It’s raining, look at the state of the kindergarten renovated by the municipality. The walls are damp, and rainwater is flowing down the walls. In approximately two years, it will resemble an old 30-year-old kindergarten.”
In response, the Yerevan Municipality informed Auroranews that Kindergarten No. 71 does not yet have a completion document (operating permit). They said, “Kindergarten No. 71 does not yet have a completion document. There is a monitoring organization responsible for conducting technical inspections. This body is not under the municipality, and its permit was obtained through a competitive process. This organization must carry out the final inspection, and we will issue the completion document based on their conclusions, which have not yet been executed. If the technical inspector identifies issues, the construction workers are obligated to rectify those deficiencies.”
