Bastrikin Proposes Stripping Migrants of Russian Citizenship for Refusing Military Service
The head of the Russian Investigative Committee, Alexander Bastrikin, has proposed to strip migrants of their Russian citizenship for refusing to participate in military operations. He stated, “While a special military operation is ongoing, I believe we should involve them in it. If they, as citizens of the Russian Federation, are not willing to fulfill their duty, we need to make a decision to revoke the citizenship of such individuals,” emphasized the head of the investigative committee.
Bastrikin had previously mentioned that, along with citizenship, migrants also acquire obligations, including the duty to serve in the army.
