We Had 2 Options: Khoren Grigoryan on Irrigation System Implementation in Arabkir
Dear residents of Yerevan, dear Arabkir residents: The implementation of an irrigation system is ongoing in the Arabkir administrative district. This was announced by the acting head of the Yerevan Department of Construction and Urban Development, Khoren Grigoryan, on his Facebook page.
“We had 2 options: A. completely close the road and install the irrigation system, B. keep the road open for traffic, making our work more complicated by laying a gravel layer after daily work to prevent damage to vehicles. Considering the conditions of heavy city traffic, we are proceeding with the second option. I ask for everyone's understanding and inform you that the asphalt concrete base will be installed within the next three days,” Grigoryan wrote.
Auroranews contacted the Yerevan City Hall to clarify which street would be closed. The City Hall informed us that the street in question is “Aghrucyan” street in the Arabkir administrative district.
Additionally, earlier during the pre-election period, Tigran Avinyan answered a question on Radio Aurora about whether there would be an irrigation system installation in Yerevan by saying yes.
