The World's Oldest Fabric Discovered in Areni-1 Cave
A fragment of fabric has been discovered in the Areni-1 cave, believed to have been made there by weavers. The fabric dates back to between 3790 and 3950 BCE. This is one of the oldest textiles ever found, predating the first dynasty of Ancient Egypt by nearly a thousand years.
