Bagheri Does Not Exclude Escalation of Conflict in the Middle East in Conversation with Shoigu

The United Nations should hold an urgent meeting and stop Israel, believes the Chief of Staff of Iran's armed forces. Support for Israel from other countries could lead to the involvement of new actors in the conflict. This was stated by Mohammad Bagheri during a phone conversation with Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu.

Bagheri said, "The continuation of the crimes of the Israeli regime and the direct support from certain countries have complicated the situation and could lead to the involvement of other actors in that arena," as reported by Tasnim.

The agency clarifies that during the conversation, the Russian and Iranian sides agreed to cooperate in providing assistance to those affected by the conflict.
