Who Did the IDF Blame for the Attack on the Hospital in Gaza?
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) investigation has confirmed that the militant group Islamic Jihad is responsible for the rocket attack on a hospital in the Gaza Strip on October 17. This statement was made by IDF spokesperson Daniel Hagari during a briefing for foreign journalists, as reported by TASS.
"The IDF has completed its investigation and confirms that Islamic Jihad is responsible for the explosion at the Gaza hospital," said Hagari. He pointed out again the absence of a large crater at the site of the hospital explosion, which is typically left following the use of Israeli munitions.
"The impact of Israeli munitions would result in a large crater and significant damage to surrounding buildings and walls," Hagari noted. Earlier, the IDF released footage to demonstrate that the attack on Al-Ahli Hospital in Gaza was not carried out by the Israeli Armed Forces, as otherwise the explosion would have left a large crater, while nearby buildings remained undamaged, with only a fire spreading.
