Video: Death Toll from Airstrike on Gaza Hospital Reaches 800, Al Arabiya

Al Arabiya television has reported, citing sources, that the death toll from the airstrike on a hospital in Gaza has exceeded 800. Meanwhile, sources from the channel assert that the number of casualties could be higher as many people are currently trapped under the rubble.

Earlier reports indicated that around 500 individuals had died as a result of the hospital attack. According to the channel's page on the X social network, search and rescue operations along with debris removal are still ongoing.

Additionally, Al Arabiya reports that doctors are providing aid to "numerous injured civilians." The strikes occurred on the Baptist hospital in Gaza on the evening of October 17. The Israeli army has stated that it is investigating the incident and links it to a failed rocket launch by the Islamic Jihad.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated that Israeli forces did not target the hospital and that the responsibility for the incident lies with the "barbaric terrorists of the Gaza Strip." Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas has called the attack an "Israeli military crime" and declared a three-day mourning period.
