Prosecutor Unharmed by Gunfire, Says Investigative Committee Spokesperson

A prosecutor has not been harmed as a result of gunfire. This was reported by Gor Abrahamyan, the spokesperson of the Investigative Committee, on his Facebook page.

A call was received regarding gunfire in the yard of the Ajapnyak seat of the Yerevan City Court. A criminal case has been initiated under Article 44-155, Part 1 of the RA Criminal Code (attempted murder). An investigation is underway.

One person has sought medical assistance. Currently, investigators from the Ajapnyak and Davtashen administrative districts of the Armenian Investigative Committee, led by the head of the department, are on the scene conducting primary, urgent investigative actions.

No prosecutor was harmed in the incident, but there were bullet marks on a state-registered vehicle parked in the court yard. The circumstances of the case are being clarified. Regarding the acquired data, the Investigative Committee of Armenia will later issue a statement within the limits of permissible disclosure.

It is reminded that gunfire rang out near the seat of the Yerevan City Court in Ajapnyak.
