Prosecutor Not Hurt in Shooting Incident; Investigative Committee Issues Statement

A report was received regarding gunshots being fired in the yard of the Ajapnyak residence of the Yerevan City Court.

A criminal proceeding has been initiated under the first part of Article 44-155 of the Criminal Code of Armenia (attempted murder). An investigation is underway.

One person has sought medical assistance at a healthcare facility. Currently, investigators from the Ajapnyak and Davtashen administrative districts of the Investigative Committee of Armenia, led by the head of the department, are at the scene, conducting primary, urgent investigative actions.

No prosecutor was harmed as a result of the shooting, but there are traces from gunfire on a state-registered vehicle parked in the court's yard. The circumstances surrounding the incident are being clarified. The Investigative Committee of Armenia will later provide a report regarding the data obtained, within permissible limits.
