Notice for Students Displaced from Artsakh: List of Vocational Schools and Colleges Published

The Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of Armenia has published a list of state educational institutions that offer preliminary vocational (technical) and secondary vocational education programs, where students forcibly displaced from Artsakh after September 19, 2023, can continue their studies.

On October 12, the Armenian government approved decision N 1762-L, establishing the procedure for granting scholarships to cover full or partial tuition fees for students displaced from Artsakh after September 19, 2023, for the 2023-2024 academic year, as well as the maximum scholarship amounts according to educational programs.

The list outlines the maximum scholarship amounts based on educational programs, forms of education, and fields:

• For preliminary vocational (technical) education programs: 245,000 AMD;
• For full-time secondary vocational education programs in the arts: 480,000 AMD;
• In the health sector: 500,000 AMD;
• In other fields: 300,000 AMD;
• For distance learning secondary vocational education programs: 300,000 AMD.

The maximum scholarship amounts have been determined based on the tuition fees set for all state educational institutions that provide the specified educational programs.

No scholarships are allocated by the state for individuals who attended high school or dropped out after basic education and are continuing their education through preliminary vocational (technical) or secondary vocational programs. Furthermore, scholarships are not available for students who have reinstated their student rights in non-state accredited institutions; they can transfer to the state educational institutions listed until October 31 of the current year.
